A Note From Clementine

June 2017: After six years on Etsy, I now find myself doing more in-person events and special collaborative projects with some of the talented Indie dyers I am lucky to count among my friends. Needing a more versatile online presence, I finally took the leap and opened my Indiemade shop! If you aren't already familiar with my work, I invite you to take a peek at my Etsy shop, where you can see photos of more than 600 sold items, review my 100% 5-star rating, or read some of the 300+ reviews from buyers. I am grateful for my customers' great reviews, encouragement, and support of Indie makers.

POP Thru the Parks!

~~ Limited Edition Fabric Yarn Bowl ~~

There  are so many uses for these unbreakable bowls - they offer a safe place for your yarn

as well as a cozy repository for your knitting when you set it aside.

POP your knitting into this cute bowl, and head right out to enjoy the great outdoors!

The Backstory:

I designed this bowl to tie-in with IndieUntangled’s National Parks Project, which has offered four special yarns in 2017, each by a different indie dyer. Each exclusive yarny accessory was timed to coincide with the release of a yarn installment (June, August, October, December).

This round of pre-orders start December 8 at 9:00 am EST. Items will be available for pre-order for two weeks, or until the limited edition of 24 items is sold out, whichever comes first. (UPDATE 1/23/18: THERE IS ONE BOWL REMAINING, READY TO SHIP.)

All items in the collection feature the same wonderful exterior fabric from Amy Peppler Adams's Soda Nation Collection. Each installment of the project has featured a different complementary lining, so items are coordinated but not matchy-matchy. The December bowls have pumpkiny lining with wee yellow polka dots.

This is the final item in this series. I hope you've enjoyed it, and will check back in 2018 for more limited edition fun!

The Yarn Bowl:

I'm pleased to introduce the final item in this collection, my POPular yarn bowl, released to coincide with DuckDuckWools eye-POPping Glaciers & Wildflowers colorway (available on two bases at IndieUntangled, link above!)

For you fiber folks, these foldable, unbreakable yarn bowls are the cat's meow. Many handmakers rely on yarn bowls to cuddle their yarns, and hold a few necessities. This fabric bowls makes it possible to position your knitting bowl anywhere, even right next to you on the sofa, without worrying about breakage. When the dog jumps up and your bowl goes rollin’ … phew … no broken crockery to cry over!

In addition to holding yarn and tools for their handwork, folks have shared many ideas about how they use these bowls for all kinds of things -- dinner rolls, hand towels, cosmetics, and other small items. I have customers who use them to corral their remote controls, as a repository when they empty out their pockets at the end of the day, and who leave one folded up in each piece of luggage. (I also know of at least two that are being worn as hats. Cute!)

This one is a terrific size, spacious and yet not too large, and nicely interfaced. I think you’ll get a lot of use from this handy bowl, so if you’re going to POP for one new yarny accessory this month, I hope you'll consider this one.

The Fine Print:

  • As with all handsewn items, no two are alike, so please expect and embrace minor variations. In particular, print placement will vary; you will not get the exact assortment of pop caps you see on the design sample.
  • Please spot clean or gently hand-wash as needed, and allow to air dry. You can then lightly press it, if you wish, to restore a nice crisp finish; I recommend use of a pressing cloth.
  • All items are made by me in our pet-free, smoke-free home.
